Express Data (ED) this week consolidated its thin-client stable by signing an agreement with Tektronix to distribute the vendor's range of Windows Based Terminal products (WBTs).
Express Data already distributes thin-client offerings from Microsoft and Citrix, and according to Charles Wellington, ED's Tektronix product marketing manager, Tektronix's ThinStream range of WBTs will support Microsoft's RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) and Citrix's ICA (Independent Computing Architecture).
The Tektronix thin-client solution has achieved some success in Australia with the Defence Housing Authority recently placing an order for 400 WBTs.
Tektronix's ThinStream range starts at $1235 (ex tax) for the base model Thin200 which includes logic unit, mouse and keyboard.
