Changing of the guard at Australian Reseller News

Changing of the guard at Australian Reseller News

Long-standing and founding ARN editor, Paul Zucker, has been promoted to the senior position of channel director.

Paul has been responsible for the publication since it was launched as a monthly. His pioneering helped drive the publication to a fortnightly newspaper, then to the very successful weekly it is today. ARN has become the essential information source for the IT channel.

Zucker's new role will be to develop ARN as the voice of the channel community.

In this strategic position, Paul will co-ordinate events to bring the various sectors of the channel together. These will include working with Inform Business Development on its channel conference and industry awards; monthly breakfast presentations; ARN Edge; events such as PCIT and Networld+Interop shows; and setting up advisory boards and monthly roundtables. Paul also intends to champion the IT reseller, helping them work towards a more efficient, better organised and more equitable channel. Paul will continue to have a weekly column in ARN.

Philip Sim is the new editor of Australian Reseller News. Phil started with IDG on ComputerWorld in 1994 where he became news editor in 1996. A year ago he was promoted to editor of NetworkWorld where he has been extremely successful in positioning it as the number one networking publication in Australia.

The NetworkWorld Web site has also grown strongly this year since the introduction of Network World Today, its daily news service. Last week, for example, it broke all its previous records with more than 1300-user sessions.

Sim plans to further enhance ARN's reputation as the champion of the channel and will increase its commitment to hard-hitting editorial and breaking news.
