Ilog opens local office to support its partners

French business rules management systems (BRMS) provider, Ilog, has opened a Sydney office to support its partners.

Newly appointed manager, Stephane Marouani, claimed there was strong demand for BRMS in the Australian market, particularly for consulting solutions.

Ilog produces a range of optimisation and BRMS software targeted at the corporate and government sectors.

"We hope this move will bring us closer to our partners and the market space," he said.

Before opening the new office, Ilog already had established partnerships with IBM, CSC and ISI.

The Sydney office would be home to five staff that would assist partners with sales and technical support as well as pre-sales consulting, according to Marouani.

He said the company was aiming to work closely with its systems integrators and business process management vendors before taking on more resellers.

It provides partners with marketing tools and a product training program.
