In a bid to enhance its IP surveillance portfolio, networking hardware distributor, Lan 1, has struck deals with Mobotix and Milestone Systems.
Lan 1 managing director, Daniel Lee, said the deal with Swedish-based Milestone would allow it to offer a variety of IP software solutions and help assist its partners with customers that were migrating from CCTV to IP surveillance.
Lan 1 will be distributing Milestone's Xprotect range. This allows users to simultaneously view up to 16 IP camera locations remotely.
The distributor had been chasing the deal for the past four months, Lee said.
"This deal presents us with a great opportunity to support our partners and get a strong hold in this emerging market," he said.
Lan 1 has also become the first local distributor for Mobotix's range of IP-based surveillance cameras.
Lee said the vendor was continuing to boost its presence in the enterprise and SMB space by offering partners more Internet-based outdoor IP surveillance camera solutions.
He hoped the two deals combined would give the distributor a $3 million sales revenue boost in the next year.
The company is currently looking for 30 resellers that specialise in security surveillance. Partners will be offered an accredited training program.
