Networking integrator, NetStar Australia, has won a competitive tender to monitor and manage Investa Property Group's national networks.
It marks the first occasion that NetStar and the property company have worked together.
Marketing director of NetStar, Oliver Descouedres, said Investa had been aware of NetStar previously.
Under the arrangement, NetStar will run its 24/7 network monitoring and managing service, NetManage, across the company's servers, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, switches, routers and wireless access points. Investa has five main offices in Australia as well as over 60 operations each run by 1-3 staff.
"We provide a centralised analysis of the logs from multiple devices and respond to anything unusual we find," Descouedres said.
One of the key benefits of NetManage was that it was a software-based service, he said, which allowed it to implement the service rapidly.
In a statement, Investa IT manager, Mark Bancroft, said the outsourcing deal would improve the reliability of its IT infrastructure, as well as reduce overall costs and complexity.
Descouedres declined to comment on who Investa's incumbent supplier was or on the value of the two-year contract.
