Altech Computers has secured a distribution partnership with motherboard vendor, J&W.
The vendor produces Intel- and AMD-based motherboards which feature Nvidia chipsets. J&W has been making OEM products for a number of Altech's vendors already, though this is the first time the vendor has moved directly into the channel.
Altech managing director, Antony Sheen, said J&W had been in the industry for a long time and offered affordable products.
"We're looking to target system integrators with J&W, and we didn't have any factory products in that category," Sheen said.
Previously, Altech had focused on representing products in retail markets.
Altech will promote the J&W range through advertising and a planned user redemption program. The vendor has also identified opportunities to bundle the J & W range with memory and CPU hardware and operating systems.
Sheen said anybody assembling PCs could benefit from the new range.
In a release, J&W sales manager, Nelson Fung, said the vendor chose to work with Altech because of its strong channel base, and its open and aggressive management style.
