Business intelligence vendor, Antivia, has teamed with local services provider, e.bi, as part of plans to establish a local channel.
Antivia's solution brings Web 2.0 capabilities to business intelligence users, including features such as forums and polls, report ratings and "what's hot, what's not" options.
e.bi regional sales director, Mark Jupp, saw Antivia's solution as taking BI in a different direction which offered significant value to clients.
The UXC subsidiary will promote the product to its current customer base through seminars, before pushing "BI 2.0" to the broader market, he said.
Antivia CEO, Mark Sands, said it was looking for a handful of select partners in Australia. The vendor was now in discussions with potential partners in SA, WA and Queensland.
"The BI market would probably not fit a model with a large number of partners. If we do expand, it will be into a two-tier model," Sands said.
Antivia was after partners with a strong track record in the BI market and a proven ability to sell and help implement BI solutions, he said.
While BI solutions were not industry specific, Sands claimed it had experienced strong take-up in the financial services, retail and telecommunication markets.
