Nuance improves channel incentives

New partner portal and licensing initiatives designed to reward resellers

Speech software vendor, Nuance Communications, has introduced new reseller initiatives to improve its channel support.

It has overhauled its Australia and New Zealand online partner portal, giving authorised resellers access to incentive programs, newsletters and product information. It also allows for online ordering or marketing collateral.

Nuance has also updated its volume license program giving organisations better savings on desktop products with low initial purchase requirements and upgrade assurance options. Previously, the license program meant resellers had 60 days to buy the next quantity of licenses. That duration has now been extended to 12 months.

From January 1, Nuance will also offer additional discounts to authorised resellers.

The vendor's channel manager, Vicki Rigg, said the initiatives continued the company's support of resellers, and would make it easier for them to deal with the Nuance.

They will sit alongside the vendor's partner program.

Nuance is also looking for more resellers in the hardware and software space, especially those focused on government departments and SMBs.

In September next year, the company will host an awards night. Five key awards will be announced in early 2008.
