Specialist distributor, Hip Gizmos, has become the first local supplier of products from audio and video vendor, Konnet.
The deal, which gives Hip Gizmos access to Konnet's entire range, is the first time the Canadian vendor has had a presence in Australia.
Hip Gizmos sales director, Sean Mattheisz, said the company would initially focus on Konnet's high quality cabling products.
"We are in talks with the Loewe and Samsung brands for bundling opportunities with Konnet's HDMI cables," he said.
Konnet products to be introduced later down the track include HD disks and switching devices.
Mattheisz said none of the products competed with Hip Gizmo's existing range.
The distributor planed to build the brand's retail presence with a recycling program allowing customers to bring in old cabling for Konnet discounts, he said.
"Konnet products have good retail packaging, and we believe very strongly in all the products we carry," Mattheisz said.
