Software giant showcases online partner marketing centre at Australian partner conference

Software giant, Microsoft, has launched local online versions of its new partner business tools.

At the Australian Partner Conference in Port Douglas, corporate vice-president worldwide partner group, Allison Watson, announced the launch of an online Partner Marketing Centre for the channel. The centre will be available to all certified partners and comes on the back of the global launch of the online Partner Sales Resources during Microsoft's worldwide conference last month.

"We have partners wanting to engage with all the marketing plans. So online we launched the Partner Marketing Centre here in Australia," Watson said. "We showed how each of our 13 different customer campaigns, depending on what business the partner is in, has access to the tools to understand what market is available, how to use the different marketing tools, what sales resources can be used with marketing campaigns and then marketing measurements."

Microsoft has also launched an additional two tools: A Software Plus Services Partner Evolution Interactive Guide and a Profitability Tool and Guide. The first aims to help partners transition to a software-as-a-service (SaaS) business and includes case studies, analyst videos and other key performance indicators.

The Profitability Tool and Guide provides profit and loss estimates for a channel business and lets partners customise their P&L model to reflect individual characteristics.
