ASX-listed systems integrator, ComputerCorp (ASX:CSP), has become VMware’s eighth Australian partner to achieve premier certification.
Over the past three years, the integrator has made the commitment to train engineers and ensure they have VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certifications, as well as certify a percentage of the ComputerCorp sales force to the VMware Sales Professional (VSP) level.
VMware managing director of Australia, Paul Harapin, said ComputerCORP was also set targets to achieve over the course of the year and had to demonstrate the ability to integrate a range of services and technologies related to virtualisation.
“We’re providing ComputerCorp with better access to IP and services from us – we put in a bit more effort and focus with our premier partners,” he said.
VMware has over 800 partners nationally and is enjoying good growth in the region, Harapin said. The vendor is not capping the number of premier partners.
“With the economic conditions, money is being cut from other areas, but not virtualisation,” he said.
