Lake Corporation has appointed two new sales executives and signalling intentions to add more in expectation of a good year in the call centre technology market.
The call centre integrator, which predominantly resells Aspect Software products, has hired Raymond Lo and Pilvi Carman as sales executives for its Sydney team. Lo has over 20 years experience in the contact centre and communications industry working for companies such as Avaya, 3D Networks and Commander Systems.
Carman has held various senior level sales, marketing and business development roles in the past decade. Both will be charged with identifying new opportunities for the company across Australia.
Lake sales director, Richard Kilkelly, said the 18 year-old company braved the economic downturn in 2009 and is now ready to shift activity into high gear.
“We, like everybody else, were significantly impacted by the global financial crisis,” Kilkelly said. “It was certainly a very tough year from a sales point of view.
“Coinciding with new capabilities from Aspect, there is an expanding market for contact centre, which is why we decided to make this investment and bring more sales people on-board.”
New developments in the Unified Communications (UC) sector have prompted organisations to consider refreshing their communications equipment. Based on feedback from existing clients, Kilkelly said customer confidence is higher and more companies are looking to invest in technology to bolster their market position.
He also flagged plans to expand its employee list, highlighting sales position recruitment efforts in Victoria as well as an intention to recruit software developers and engineers for Lake’s support team. The company has 30 staff servicing over 40 companies.
