Security vendor, Websense, has appointed Adam Bradley as its managing director for A/NZ.
He will be based in Sydney and responsible for driving the vendor’s sales operation and support partner growth.
Former country manager, Phil Vasic, has left the company to pursue other interests.
The managing director position was created to add more responsibilities, Bradley said.
“This is a great time for us to strengthen and become more strategic with our channel partners,” he said.
Bradley joined Websense in 2002 and was previously senior regional sales director for the UK, Ireland and South Africa.
He started his IT career as a network administrator and dabbled in reseller land.
“I understand the channel partner space and working with vendors. It’s something that helped me develop strong working relationships with channel partners,” Bradley said.
The vendor also wants to improve its channel program to help attract more partners. Websense has about 100 partners in the region.
“Partners that offer customers strong relationships in terms of being advisory consultants to their partners, they’re the type want to attract,” he said. “We want to improve on how we deal with the channel.”
In February, the security vendor launched its Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) program.
