United Group launches new product protection plan in Australia

Product Care allows SMEs to offer customers extended protection warranties across the country

Warranty and extended services provider, United Group, has revealed a product protection plan, Product Care, for manufacturer and consumer electronics businesses.

It allows SMEs to offer customers extended protection warranties Australia-wide for any electronic product that can be plugged into electrical sockets including audio visuals. SMEs can outsource core service and warranty requirements to United Group at no extra cost.

Product Care also provides failure protection even after manufacturer warranties expire and is available in standard or platinum options. Both categories offer a range of services including disc scratch protection, exclusive phone support and the benefit of a service representative going to the customer.

United Group CEO, Vern Rickman, said as customers became more IT and AV savvy, SMEs needed to build on their service quality and offer more assistance.

Dick Smith Electronics, Commonwealth Bank and Myer, are some of United Group's partners. The company claims the warranty product offering will help smaller manufacturers and retailers compete with larger companies.

Product Care is now available throughout Australia and will be available in New Zealand in May.
