Electronic and electrical product vendor, Toshiba Australia, recently confirmed the details of its new tablet, the AT100, set to launch locally at the end of June.

Powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 and Android 3.0 ‘Honeycomb’, its key feature includes a 10.1-inch diagonal high-definition multi touch, LED backlit widescreen screen that allows consumers to connect, browse and enjoy videos, movies, games, photos and more via a crisp image experience.

Designed for consumers to easily connect and share content via other digital devices, the Toshiba Tablet also contains full-size ports – including USB 2.0, HDMI and SD Card slots.

Toshiba Australia managing director, Mark Whittard, said, “Users can customise the way it looks, easily watch movies on a big screen TV, transfer photos from their SD cards and importantly, the removable back cover allows easy battery replacement for extra battery life.”

The tablet includes preloaded Toshiba softwares, its Media Player, that enables streaming of music and videos to a DLNA Wi-Fi enabled TV and the Resolution+ technology that enhances videos by up scaling and increasing the original source’s resolution for a clearer image.

It also features a pair of high-resolution cameras – a 2MP front-facing webcam and a 5MP rear-facing camera, stereo speakers tuned with Toshiba sound enhancement technologies and enhanced sound clarity delivered by SRS Labs.

The Toshiba AT100 Tablet will be available for %579 (RRP).

A range of accessories will also available: interchangeable slip-resistant coloured back covers, a removable battery pack, Toshiba Multi Dock with HDMI and a portfolio case.
