Local cloud computing storage company and Macquarie Telecom subsidiary, Ninefold, has launched a new level of pricing transparency and a new service offering.
It is targeted at Australian businesses requiring self-managed cloud services.
According to the company, its new pricing structure enables greater transparency as it bills each element – instances, templates and Ninefold Persistent Storage (NPS) – separately.
It allows customers to know the amount they are likely to pay and adjust their settings accordingly instead of learning of it through the invoice sent out at the end of the month.
The pricing is paired with all data stored locally, usage alerts, daily portal graphs, low latency and freedom from data jurisdiction issues, free on-shore customer support and itemised billing.
Ninefold managing director, Peter James, said, “We have continued to adapt, release new features regularly and iterate based on customer feedback and the market.”
It also launched a new service offering in direct response to customer demand – the Micro Instances.
The solution provides developers, digital agencies and entrepreneurs with access to projects off the ground at $0.04 per hour.
It enables low volume and low traffic applications to run on their own virtual server at a price comparable to running them all on the same server, but with the ability to keep individual projects separate.
“All of these innovations have come within the first three months of our launch, which the market should take as indicative of our future plans,” James said.
The company most recently inked a collaboration deal with EMC Australia to launch a local cloud-based storage service.
