K-Leather iPad 2 case promo pic aims for the aesthetic end of the street
Technology blogger, Arnold Aranez – better known as Mr. Gadget, recently launched an iPad 2 case made from genuine Australian kangaroo leather (K-Leather), accented by synthetic silver stitching.
The case features a professional slim notebook design that provides quick access to charging ports, buttons and camera. It contains a business card holder, a foldout lap-stand and is offered with Aranez Leather Conditioner and micro-fiber cleaning kit.
According to Aranez, it is the first of such a product internationally and he intends to use K-Leather to cover all major smartphones and tablets in the coming months.
"As the smartphone and tablet markets continue to mature, people will naturally look for ways to protect or individualise their devices. What we're doing is providing consumers with a high-end choice," he said.
K-Leather was used as consumers indicated they wanted a lightweight, strong and durable case.
"Bottom line, we are passionate about technology and style," he said.
Aranez cautions animal rights activists that kangaroos are not killed for their leather but, rather, it is a by-product of strategic harvesting instituted by the Australian government to help control the kangaroo population locally.
It will be available in the US, Asia, and European markets by late June and costs RRP $US199.95.
Aranez is currently looking for partners to sell his brand.
