UXC Connect and UXC Consulting will commence trading from July 1
UXC Group (ASX:UXC) has merged its infrastructure business comprising Integ Group, XSI Data Solutions and the current UXC Connect. All will come under the banner of UXC Connect.
It will also close its offices in St Leonards and Chatswood as part of the merger and use its Belrose location as headquarters.
Former CEO of Integ Group, Ian Poole, will take up the CEO post for the combined entity.
Former UXC Connect CEO, Paul Timmins, and former CEO of XSI Data Solutions, Glenn Gray, will hold senior leadership positions within UXC.
The Group has also consolidated its consulting and advisory business into a single unit – UXC Consulting, led by the company’s Consulting Group CEO, Nick Mescher.
The reorganised IT integrator will begin trading from July 1 with a team of more than 650 employees.
The merger is aimed at providing customers with a simpler engagement model and greater breadth and depth of solutions and services.
UXC managing director, Cris Nicolli, said, “Part of the rationale for it is we have already gone from having 25 clients spending a million dollars or more four years ago to today having 110 clients spending that same amount. So, we need to change our structure to make sure that we’re easier to do business with.”
The company is targeting revenue of $235 million within the first year.
UXC Connect’s primary solutions will include outsourced, hosted and managed services, cloud and premise unified communications, mobility, secure networking, data centre and storage management and contact centre solutions.
“Our new solution sets that we will be going to market with will be a match of what we’re already doing today in those three organisations but we will be able to broaden them out by utilising the skill sets from the other organisations,” Poole said.
As part of the first stage of integration between the three companies, UXC Connect set up a shared services business a year ago as the merger platform – focusing on IT and its foundation systems, commercial facilities and legal issues.
“Following the first stage, we’ve been merging the other parts of the business since February and advertised about 150 jobs effectively,” Poole said.
Three employees resigned from UXC Connect and it plans to make about four staff redundant.
UXC Consulting, which will also commence work on July 1, will consist of 350 staff and have a regional focus aligned to practice capabilities.
The company will announce a cloud service partnership in the coming weeks and most recently landed $40 million in renewal contracts.
