HP has announced new solutions, advanced technology and an expanded entrepreneur program for SMBs to drive growth, increase employee productivity and protect assets.
According to the technology and services giant, SMBs are faced with daily challenges that include controlling costs, managing employee productivity and gaining access to credit, which represent an estimated $234 billion in total addressable market.
As such, the company aims to deliver the new solutions for clients to realign resources toward growth. They include: The ProLiant ML110 G7 and ProLiant DL120 G7 servers, its Business Decision Appliance and Business Data Warehouse Appliance, Business Risk Mitigation (BRM) and Branch Office Consolidation (BOC) solutions, HP Networking standards-based V1810-48G switch and the V1410 switch series and the HP P2000 G3 Modular Smart Array (MSA).
The company outlined three key advantages to the solutions:

- Minimising backup time by 90 per cent and reduce recovery by 87 per cent with HP Business Risk Mitigation.
- Reduce risk of critical data loss with HP PC Backup Services.

The company has expanded its investment with 40 new training centres in its global program, HP Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs (HP LIFE), which allows microenterprises and SMBs to create new revenue streams.
Since 2007, HP has invested more than $20 million into the program, resulting in the creation of more than an estimated 20,000 jobs and more than approximately 6,500 new businesses.
In Asia-Pacific, there are 63 training centres in 10 countries – that include Australia, China, India, Korea and South-East Asia.
HP has also added business intelligence solutions to its AppSystem portfolio, allowing midsize organisations needing to accelerate analysis of new and existing data sources with the Business Decision appliance and increase revenue and customer loyalty with the HP Business Data Warehouse appliance.
