Mobile phone retailer uses Google’s gDocScan for cloud document management

Mo's Mobiles is using Google apps to bypass the IT department

Mobile phone retailer, Mo's Mobiles, has opted for Google’s ‘Scan to cloud’ software, gDocScan, at all of its 94 local locations for cloud document management.

According to Mo’s Mobiles co-founder, Tim Levy, the company is using Google apps to bypass the IT department as it has no IT staff.

gDocScan developer, Executive Technologies’ president, Jim Geer said the solution is suited for organisations with multiple locations, as it scans from the multiple locations to Google Docs. It allows users from any location to search and view documents.

It will deploy the cloud solution as like many growing businesses, Levy wanted a technology platform that keeps up with an evolving industry and ensure his dispersed group of retail staff had access to the right information.

“It’s such a bottleneck, and businesses that really get the cloud allow people like me to add functionality to their business,” he added.

gDocScan is operational on Windows 2008/7/XP/Vista/2003 platforms.
