Dicker Data has expanded on its Sony and notebook product range, announcing that it now carries Sony VAIO notebooks.
The distributor already carries Sony’s projectors and storage media solutions, but this is the first time it has had access to the VAIOs. It also has partnerships with other notebook vendors, including Toshiba and HP.
In a statement, Dicker Data chairman and CEO, David Dicker, said the product range would be a good complementary fit for the distributor: We’re pleased to welcome Sony VAIO notebooks to Dicker Data. We believe there is a potential for this product to perform well in the SMB space and we’re eager to work with Sony in delivering a viable alternative in this market. The Sony VAIO range is complementary to our existing vendor line up and presents itself as a good opportunity for us.”
In the statement, Sony Australia general manager of consumer sales, David Hargreaves, said “Sony Australia enthusiastically welcomes the direction and looks forward to a successful partnership with the Dicker Data team. We believe that the addition of VAIO notebooks to Dicker Data’s existing range will perfectly complement its existing Sony line-up.”
