Unified communications solution provider, snom technology, has announced a new channel program for its A/NZ partners.
The two-tiered program is used by the company to sell in to distributors.
snom’s distributor partners will provide a business plan for the company, value to the customer and training to the marketplace.
Members will be supported with an array of training and education options – including in-person equipment training, webinars and online classes through snom University.
The company made the move after re-aligning its channel strategy to employ three businesses as its official distributor partners – Alloy Computers and IPL Communications in A/NZ and Compass Communications as an official distributor in New Zealand.
According to the company, the three distribution partners will be responsible for fulfilling the growing demand for snom products in the region and providing the highest level of sales support and distribution services to the local community of snom registered and certified value-added resellers (VARs).
“As our applicable markets continue to expand through SIP-based PBXs and Microsoft Lync, the role of our distributors becomes even more crucial because they are our liaisons to the VAR community and ultimately our end customers worldwide,” snom technology director of partner alliances, Tommy Lee, said.
Partners will have to register for the program on snom’s website. They will also have to affiliate themselves with one of the company’s distributor partners.
The company also unveiled a new line of business VoIP phones – the snom 7 series, designed for SMBs requiring an enterprise-class desktop phone on an SMB budget.
The snom 720 and snom 760 VoIP business phones interoperable with a wide range of IP PBX, hosted VoIP and unified communications platforms.
Both the snom 720 and 760 offer a Gigabit Ethernet switch, automatic provisioning, wireless LAN connectivity and snom’s wideband HD voice quality. Both phones can transfer data at a speed of 1000Mbits/s without slowing down the network or a connected PC. They also feature Bluetooth connectivity via optional USB stick.
“The 7-series fits right between the previously launched 800-series and 300-series. It’s not meant to be a price leader but rather a niched need between our product lines,” Lee said.
The snom 760 features a high-resolution color display and two USB ports for a variety of connectivity options, as well as a newly designed handset grip, a 16-key programmable busy lamp field and four context-sensitive keys.
The snom 720 offers 18 fully configurable function keys and four variable keys and also supports all standard VoIP calling features including an address book with 1000 possible entries, speed dialing, URL dialing, ringtone selection and LED call indication.
Both phones will be available from Alloy Computers and IPL Communications in A/NZ and Compass Communications in New Zealand in Q1 2012, priced at $US219 for the snom 720 and $US329 for the snom 760.
