Empired assembles energy and resources "dream team"

Four new senior management appointments won over from rivals ASG, CSG and CSC

ASX-listed IT service provider, Empired Limited (ASX:EPD), has brought on four new executive and senior management appointments as it looks to substantially up the ante in terms of growth.

Further, it has acquired the talent from some of its largest and most influential competitors.

The new appointments are: Rob McCready (formerly at ASG) as COO, Brett Gresele (also formerly at ASG) as general manager, managed services, Mike Luyckx (formerly at CSG) as business development manager, strategic services and Don Beer (previously at CSC) as business development manager, energy & natural resources.

The WA-based services company is looking to increase its profile in the market place and acquire new customers.

It has kicked off the 2012 calendar year with a $7 million/year contract win, and is confident of its growth opportunities.

This, in turn, has directly led to it being able to acquire such management talent, according to managing director, Russel Baskerville.

The company is investing heavily in the energy and resources market – a growth market in Australia that Baskerville expects will continue to be a big opportunity for the next 5-10 years.

“We’re going to deliver a very strong half, significantly better than we’ve done before, and the full year looks outstanding for us as well,” Baskerville said. “We’re investing to back that up going forwards.

“We’re going to move up the pyramid to gain a closer and deeper relationship with customers and securing the multiyear contracts.

"We believe it will give us a unique value proposition and we have the real knowledge in the space to appeal to that market.”
