Gaming company, Nintendo, has announced that its upcoming Wii U console will be touring Australia in a series of pop-up stores across the country commencing on Monday, November 5.
The hands-on experience offer follows the Wii U’s appearance at EB Expo last month.
The Wii U Experience Stores will allow the public to test the Wii U GamePad controller, which Nintendo said will change the in-home gaming experience.
In addition, the pop-ups will feature a range of pre-release titles for the Wii U, as well as a range of recently released 3DS games.
The Wii U will hit Australian retailers on November 30. The ‘Wii U Basic Pack’ (white console with 8GB of internal storage) will have an SRP of $349.95, with the ‘Wii U Premium Pack’ (black console with 32GB storage, Nintendo Land game, console stand, and charging cradle) coming in at an SRP of $429.95. Both figures are, as always, higher than the US prices ($US299 for Basic, $US349 for Premium).
