Optus customers get cheaper Hoyts cinema tickets

New partnership exclusively available to Optus movie-goers

Telecommunications provider, Optus, has partnered with cinema chain, Hoyts, to offer the telco’s customers $10 movie tickets (with a catch) through a renewed Movie Rewards program that kicks off next Monday, November 12.

The $10 movie tickets are available everyday except for Saturday after 5pm.

The renewed program adds a further 50 locations, bringing the total to just over 130 cinemas across Australia.

Once it launches, Optus customer can purchase the $10 Hoyts vouchers through the Movie Rewards website via a mobile device or computer.

According to Optus customer managing director, Vicki Brady, “This new partnership is a direct response to customers who requested more cinemas in more locations all over the country to take advantages of $10 movie tickets.”

What’s the catch? While the tickets can be purchased at any time, they cannot be used after 5:00pm on Saturdays.

Additionally, they are not valid in Hoyts La Premiere, Directors Suite, IMAX, Studio 12, or special events.

Ticketholders must upgrade their vouchers to access 3D (glasses sold separately), Xtremescreen, and Bean Bag cinemas for an additional fee.
