DSL Internet service provider, iiNet, has launched its new Hosted Exchange email service to improve consumer experience of using email in the office or on the move.
Hosted Exchange offers real-time synchronisation of emails, calendars and contacts with mobile devices, as well as the ability for users to remote wipe a mobile phone if they lose it.
The email service also enables consumers to collaborate easily by sharing resources, calendars and contacts, and its integration with Outlook allows users to work seamlessly with all its major features.
iiNet chief business officer, Greg Bader, said the infrastructure is hosted locally, so users get faster access and won’t experience unexpected outages or data sovereignty issues.
“We want SMBs to have easy and affordable access to all services including mobile devices, landlines, Internet and email service. Hosted Exchange is an important part of achieving this, and the service helps strengthen our overall communications offering,” Bader said.
The solution builds on iiNet’s free email service, offering larger mailbox capacities and improved features and functionality, such as 30MB outgoing message size, aliases and email forwarding, and antivirus and anti-spam features.
The enterprise class email will be available at SMB prices and customers can access Hosted Exchange on a month-to-month basis without having to lock into a long-term contract.
Plans start from $2.95 per month for the Hosted Exchange Package One, which provides users with a 3GB mailbox and manages systems including Internet message access protocol and Outlook Web access.
