Networking vendor, Extreme Networks, has appointed Gary Newbold to the role of Asia-Pacific (APAC) sales vice-president.
Newbold is tasked with overseeing sales across the entire region, highlighted by Australia, New Zealand, China, Korea, Japan, and India.
“Gary’s appointment is a big step for APAC, as he has demonstrated consistent results and achieved excellent levels of customer satisfaction for the Northern EMEA region, where tremendous achievements came in growing Extreme’s presence both with the channel and our customers from education, retail, healthcare and various service providers and Internet Exchange Connection points,” global sales executive vice-president, Nancy Shemwell, said.
Having first joined the company in 2009 following a stint with digital electronics manufacturer, 3Com, his promotion coincides with the launch of Extreme Network’s APAC Channel Partner Conference, taking place in Vietnam from August 12 to 16.
Extreme Networks said the event will host hundreds of partners which will be addressed by Newbold, CEO Chuck Berger, and Shemwell.
