A decade has passed since business intelligence (BI), QlikTech, and business analytics management firm, Inside Info, partnered in the Australian market.
Inside Info introduced QlikTech’s QlikView product to Australia in September 2003, with over 120 enterprise clients such as Qantas, Network Ten, Amcor and Melbourne Health using it since then.
QlikTech Asia-Pacific regional vice-president, Phillip Beniac, said the anniversary comes as market trends such as mobility, Big Data and Cloud are transforming the way organisations look at BI.
“If there’s one lesson we’ve learnt over the past 10 years, then that would be the benefits of making BI simple and accessible for everyone,” he said.
Although Inside Info was initially a local reseller of QlikView, it is now an Australian Elite QlikView partner.

According to Beniac, the biggest change in the BI market since 2003 is the improvement in results.
Thanks to today's software and technology, Beniac said employees are now discovering more relevant and insightful information than before, aiding them in making informed decisions when dealing with a problem.
“As business users are now able to service their own business discovery needs, IT teams have additional time to focus on more value-added activities, further streamlining IT to assist with business growth,” he said.
