Deloitte reveals 2013 Technology Fast 50 winners

Kogan, InfoReady and Virtual Machine Technology take out the top 10.

Deloitte has named the companies that have graced its Technology Fast 50 list this year, with Kogan (3), InfoReady (7) and Virtual Machine Technology rounding out the top 10.

Kogan also managed to grab the 2013 Leadership Award, which is granted to companies that achieve operating revenues in excess of $50 million in 2013. Kogan experienced 827 per cent revenue growth.

“Particularly impressive across all of this year’s winning technology companies is the way they have capitalised on opportunities in an environment of rapid change and disruption,” Deloitte leader of the Tech Fast 50 program, Joshua Tanchel, said.

This is the thirteenth year that the Deloitte Tech Fast 50 program has been in action and M2 Telecommunications (42) has featured in it for eight consecutive years.

According to Deloitte, sectors that were driving growth in this year’s list were online, software and the infrastructure required to support it. Even though the majority of companies in this year’s list were NSW-based, the top four were from Victoria.

Other technology companies that made the top 50 included MyNetFone (11), Bulletproof Networks (21), Vocus Communications (26), Observatory Crest (32), BigAir Group (33), IPscape (39), Kiandra IT (43) and R-Group (49).

“The technology landscape is rapidly changing, with strong growth being experienced in new areas and contraction within many of the more traditional IT services,” Kiandra IT managing director, Cameron Brookes, said. “This achievement highlights Kiandra’s dedication to constantly innovating to keep ahead of our customers’ needs by investing in new technologies, forming strategic partnerships, evolving our solution portfolio and developing our service offering to win new business.”

The list ranks the fastest growing public and private technology companies based on revenue growth in the past three years.

Total revenue for this year’s Fast 50 winners was approximately $1.7 billion with an average three year revenue growth of 222 per cent.
