So, we weren't lying yesterday when we pointed out that the Moto X (on Verizon) would get Kitkat before the stockilicious Nexus 4. We just weren't aware of how close to the wire we would be.
According to Android Central, Nexus 4 users have begun receiving OTA updates last night that wil bounce them up from Android 4.3 to Android 4.4.
In addition, Android Police is reporting that the KitKat upgrades will be available for a number of pre-Google Motorola releases, including The Droid Razr Maxx HD, Razr M, Razr HD, and even also-rans like the Atrix HD and the Electrify M, though exact dates have yet to be announced.
All other Motorola update information can be found on the manufacturers' website.
Out of the Motorolaverse, HTC has announced via Twitter that the Droid DNA will get a KitKat upgrade by the end of Q1 2014. The company also promises that its flagship One is on track to receive a KitKat upgrade before the end of Q1 as well--but it will also get a 4.3 update at some un-specified date in December.
Hopefully consumers will get their hands on a fully realized One before HTC announces that phone's next generation successor early next year.
