A10 hires former HP executive

Greg Barnes to lead company’s A/NZ business

Application networking company, A10 Networks, has appointed Greg Barnes as its managing director for the Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) region.

He will be responsible for driving business growth as A10’s new Cloud solutions become available in the local market.

Commenting on his appointment, Barnes said, “A10 is well positioned and aligned for growth in meeting demand for Cloud and security within the application networking space. With increased focus in the market on DDoS, CGN, and IPv6 migration, A10 continues to become more important.”

Barnes joins A10 with 23 years of experience in senior sales and general management roles. He is credited for leading successful teams to profitable growth in both saturated and high growth markets.

His most recent role was with Hewlett-Packard where he served as enterprise security products general manager for the vendor’s South Pacific region.

Barnes also worked for Aruba Networks as A/NZ country manager.
