Concur has announced the launch of its advisor program in Australian and New Zealand (A/NZ), which is designed to manage travel and expenses (T&E) for small to medium business (SMB).
The advisor program is channel focused and targeted particularly at resellers. Concur says its hoping to partner with companies that already have an established customer base and are looking to add value to existing relationships.
Concur Managing Director SMB A/NZ, Matt Goss, said the new program has meant significant restructuring and investment for the business. This included a restructure in October 2013 that split the organisation into enterprise and SMB sections. Concur has also employed a four person team specifically to deal with channel operations.
“We are talking to a lot of partners now. The focus for the next year is to get them on board and successful. We can offer a generous revenue stream to partners and if they are successful we will pay a revenue share based upon the size of the implementation.”
Goss says the benefits for SMBs in adopting Concur is visibility of expense and tracking along with employee satisfaction. Users can book and manage travel arrangements as well as complete expenditure reports quickly, he said.
In April of 2013 Concur launched its app store that now comprises over 30 apps. Goss said there are great opportunities for Channel partners through tailoring for clients based upon the programs.
Concur have also made available a set of application programming interfaces (APIs) for the platform, and he said he would love to see A/NZ partners and users taking advantage of this to create tailored applications.
Concur previously launched its perfect trip fund that allocated US$150 million for investment in companies or individuals developing applications based on its APIs. The fund has already invested in a number of enterprises in the US making apps for services like hotels, flight alerts, taxis and mobile expense analytics.
Concur is headquartered near Seattle in the United States and has been operating in North America since 1993. The company has been operating in Australia since early 2000 and has been completely Cloud based worldwide since 2003. Concur has offices in Melbourne and North Ryde NSW that manage its A/NZ operations.
