NextDC has done a board reshuffle, which sees Doug Flynn take over as chairman to oversee the company's next phase of growth and enable its strategic plan.
Ted Pretty steps down as chairman, but will remain on the board as a non-executive director.
"Since joining as director of the company, Mr Flynn has made a very valuable contribution and I believe he is excellently placed to lead our board in our ongoing commitment and focus to help implement our strategic plan," Pretty said.
The reshuffle comes as Roger Clark and Gregory Baynton resigned from the board today. Both members were inaugural board members from the NextDC's listing.
Gregory Clark has been appointed as a new board member, and has international technology company experience at the governance level, including roles at IBM, News Corp and Loral Space and Communications.
He most recently served as a director on the board of ANZ, for nine years before stepping down last November. He will also be appointed as chairman of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee.
He has PhD in physics from the Australian National University.
This leaves Stuart Davis and Craig Scroggie rounding out the NextDC board.
"These changes strengthen the breadth of experience and independence of the board as we pursue our stated growth plan and work towards building shareholder value," said Flynn.
