Dell has confirmed Joe Kremer has resigned from his post as boss for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ), naming Angela Fox as his replacement.

According to a statement from the vendor, Kremer departs to “spend time with his family and to pursue personal and philanthropic interests.”

He first joined Dell in 2003 in the United States, and moved across to the local region in early 2005. In addition to running the vendor’s A/NZ operation, Kremer launched a Women in IT Executive Mentoring (WITEM) program to advance women in IT.

Fox’s promotion to vice-president and general manager for the region comes more than seven years into her career with the vendor, having been appointed by Kremer in January 2007 as A/NZ enterprise solutions executive director. She later moved to Singapore to take on Asia-Pacific (APAC) roles.

During her career of more than 24 years in the IT sector, Fox spent 16 with IBM in several sales and leadership positions. Most recently, she worked as IBM Australia’s x86 server division business unit executive for a period of three years from 2003 until 2006.

Fox will commence her new role on July 7 following relocation to Sydney.
