Brisbane-based enterprise IT services provider, Data#3, has been elevated to Platinum Reseller status within Veeam’s channel ranks, making it the first partner in Asia-Pacific (APAC) to reach that level.
Platinum is the premium level of membership in Veeam’s ProPartner Program globally.
According to a statement, Data#3’s status reflects a proven history of success in delivering Veeam’s ‘Availability for the Modern Datacentre’ solution.
“Data#3 is the first partner to be bestowed Platinum Reseller status by Veeam throughout the entirety of the APAC region and this speaks volumes for the knowledge and expertise available at Data#3,” Veeam APAC vice-president, Don Williams, said.
“As a Platinum Reseller, Data#3 has demonstrated close alignment with Veeam’s business, playing a key role in identifying solution opportunities that help customers achieve always-on business.”
The acknowledgement follows somewhat of a financial recovery by Data#3 which reported full-year revenue growth of 8.1 per cent to $833.6 million after a marginal slip in the first half of the year.
Net profit was down 38 per cent to $7.5m for fiscal 2014, although shows signs of stabilisation after a mid-year plummet of 62 per cent.
Earlier this month, Data#3 announced its purchase of business and technology consultancy, Business Aspect Group, for $6m in a move to build its consultancy play.
It also spent $2.5m in late July as part of the first phase of its Discovery Technology acquisition, which saw it attain a 42.5 per cent stake in the Wi-Fi analytics software vendor. Data#3 expects to take on another 14.2 per cent of the company by June 30, 2015, with a further option to acquire the entire business by June 30, 2017.
