Emerson Network Power has signed on UPS West as a value-added distributor in a bid to expand its reach in Australia.
The Perth-based value-added distributor will distribute Emerson's uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and thermal management product offerings.
UPS West is an Australian distributor specialising in power protection.
The distributor aims to address the gap in the supply of power and thermal data room solutions in small to medium sized businesses in both metro and regional Western Australia.
As a value-added distributor, UPS West will offer the Liebert NXC and the Liebert GXT3, as well as the Liebert DM thermal management solution for small computer rooms and network closets.
UPS West will also have access to trainings, technical resources, as well as industry experts, exclusively made available for Emerson partners.
Emerson Network Power director of national sales, Robert Linsdell, said the partnership formed part of the company's strategic move to capitalise on the gains in in previous years and make Emerson’s solutions more available to a wider marketplace.
“UPS West is fast establishing a foot hold in the WA market by offering customers industry leading IT infrastructure and management solutions and we look forward to working with them as a valued addition to Emerson’s growing network,” he said.
According to a company statement, UPS West acknowledges that healthy local stock holdings is key to their market growth and are ready with inventory of single phase Emerson UPS and the Liebert DM cooling products.
UPS West business development manager, Ian Hart, said the company chose to work with Emerson because it was a world leader in UPS and cooling products.
"As we operate in the datacentre industry, we have found a need for the Liebert DM for small rooms in major buildings in the central business district as well as in regional sites.”
