IT services provider, Klikon Solutions, is transforming the ac3 business to become a multi-sourcing services integrator.
Klikon purchased all the shares in ac3 in 2013 from the NSW Government to aid its business growth and expansion plans.
Under the new business model, ac3 will partner with third party suppliers and manage the delivery of competitively priced, multi-sourced technology and operations services. Klikon will also take over the management of ac3’s infrastructure projects.
Klikon Solutions managing director, Simon Xistouris, said the new ownership model allows ac3 to evolve into a pure multi-sourcing services integrator working with the public sector.
“With ac3 looking after State and Federal governments and agencies, the Klikon team will focus 100 per cent on the commercial sector where we can provide a diverse range of services including our locally based, highly secure, cloud platform,” Xistouris said. "The main aim of the restructure is for each business to focus on its respective goals and objectives and deliver on them."
Part of the transformation will see some staff move between each organisation to help achieve their objectives. The biggest change involves moving managed services staff from ac3 to Klikon.
Xistouris ruled out any head count reductions in the transformation program, saying they were in hiring mode for SME roles.
Xistouris said Klikon was half way through its two year business plan.
"At a high level we want to be an ICT operational and delivery centre of excellence. ac3 goals and focus have changed as this business focuses on becoming an independent multi-sourcing services integrator to the public sector," he said.
ac3 CEO, Monique McIntosh, said since 2000, ac3 has worked with many government organisations to enable them to achieve their business objectives and obligations through the innovative and clever use of information technology.
“We work as a truly independent advocate to help them select the best technologies for their needs and then we manage the total solution for them,” McIntosh said.
