Micro Focus merges with Attachmate

Grows to $1.4 billion in revenue

MIcro Focus International has completed its merger with the Attachmate group.

The deal was completed under the terms of the definitive agreement, disclosed on 15 September 2014.

The infrastructure software developer significantly increased in scale to combined revenues of $1.4 billion. It now has more than 4500 employees, 5000 plus partners across 30 countries and over 20, 000 customers.

Micro Focus International executive chairman, Kevin Loosemore, said the merger was “a transformational event that enables Micro Focus International to meet further the needs and demands of our customers and global partner network with greater scale, a broader portfolio and the global reach their businesses require.”

Micro Focus principal brands now include: Attachmate, Borland, Micro Focus, NetIQ, Novell and SUSE.
