Melbourne-based distributor, Multimedia Technology (MMT), has inked a distribution deal with 3D printer vendor, XYZprinting.
MMT will be stocking the DaVinci 3D printer range and will also exclusively launch the DaVinci 2.0 Duo, an affordable dual-colour 3D printer.
The DaVinci 1.0 personal 3D printer is priced at $699, and claims to be the most affordable 3D printer on the market. It is specifically designed for households and small businesses with no assembly required.
The DaVinci 2.0 Duo dual nozzle, dual color 3D printer will begin shipping in Australia on December 14, with a $999 price tag and can be pre-ordered from MMT.
MMT product manager, Andrew McGregor, said 3D printing is a new, exciting, innovative category and there is a lot of interest in the technology.
“We are working with resellers on rolling out our live demo program which we see as an exciting opportunity for resellers to bring consumers back into store and become destinations for 3D printing,” McGregor said.
XYZprinting was founded in 2013 and is backed by Taiwanese electronic manufacturing giant, Kinpo Group.
