Kaseya's former channel sales director APAC, Kelly Hackney, has taken over the day-to-day operations following the departure of Kaseya's former MD, Dermot McCann.

Hackney takes up most of McCann's day-to-day responsibilities via her new role as Kaseya sales director APAC.

“I’m energised and excited to be moving into this new role and to have the opportunity to drive further success for Kaseya,” she said.

“Kaseya continues to strengthen its position as the leading provider of Coud-based IT management software with both product innovation and a strong customer focus. I will continue to use those strengths to increase our channel engagement and grow our customer-base in APAC.”

Hackney only joined the company in November, having previously worked in various senior channel management roles at Citrix since 2006. She also spent eight years with Express Data including as IBM business manager. She was also a consultant to Channel Dynamics.

McCann announced his resignation at the end of the Cloud software company's last quarter. Local staff were informed on January 5, and McCann joined Optus Business as its enterprise sales director on January 14.

Craig Allen, Kaseya's former director of professional services ANZ, also becomes technical director APAC. Prior to joining Kaseya, Craig served as Chief Information Officer at itLab, where he had operational oversight of systems performance and was responsible for improving technical efficiencies across the business.

“I’m looking forward to continuing the development of Kaseya’s professional services offerings and boosting our product training and consultancy projects to meet the varied needs of our clients across Asia-Pacific,” he said.

Hackney told ARN she is looking at renewing Kaseya's channel focus, especially ahead of the company's launch of its new generation of Cloud IT management software, R9 this week. It will be followed by a partner roadshow.

As part of Kaseya's local restructure, APAC will now be under the purview of EMEA's VP of sales, Spencer Young, who takes on the role of president of sales for APAC.

“I’m very excited to have both Craig and Kellie in these critically important leadership roles. Their insight and industry experience will help further drive success and recognition for Kaseya in our APAC markets," he said.
