As part of the opening of the annual Cisco Live! event, Telstra and Dimension Data have run out as the key winners, picking up four Cisco A/NZ Partner Insight Awards each.

The awards, which recognise the achievements of Cisco's partners across three categories: innovation, leadership, and achievement.

“Our partners have always been, and will continue to be one of our main priorities as they are at the heart of our business model,” Cisco A/NZ's director, partner business group, Jason Brouwers said.

“We are committed to helping our partners grow their business, and are proud to recognise those who have achieved outstanding results."

Dicker Data was also awarded the best distributor marketing program in Australia and New Zealand in the partner marketing awards.

Both companies have been a key part of Cisco's InterCloud multi-Cloud service provider initiative, which launched last year with a $1bn spend. It boosted that again in September by another $1bn, announcing another 30 partners globally.

Optus Business and NEC also picked up two awards each.

Optus Business got gongs for being Services Partner of the Year and Cisco Capital Partner of the Year.

NEC Australia's senior data consultant, Arthur Thodis picked up the Solutions Delivery Excellence Award, and the company's collaboration with Spark Digital in New Zealand (formerly Telecom NZ) garnered the Innovation Partner of the Year award.
