Lenovo launches first partner program for Cloud and MSPs in A/NZ

Complements the transition and integration of the System x server business

Lenovo has launched its first partner program for Cloud and managed service providers in Australia and New Zealand.

This program complements the transition and integration of the System x server business to Lenovo.

Starting today, the Lenovo Service Provider (LSP) Program will deliver a streamlined engagement process, which offers service providers advantages in forms of competitive prices, unique financing plans, and the ability to choose infrastructure from a large and diverse product portfolio that best meets their needs, according to a company statement.

The new program will give qualified service providers access to technology and lower acquisition costs, to increase IT availability.

Qualified LSP Program enrollees will also be eligible to purchase systems at a discount from Lenovo Business Partners or directly.

It will include options to help improved profitability and cash flow.

While Lenovo’s “Kickstart" program allows service providers to defer payments for up to 120 days as the “Rent and Grow” option matches payments to the usage of the systems.

A Trade-In service for eligible products is also available to assist in recovering capital from currently installed assets.

The company offers dedicated Express solutions along with special rate incentives on Lenovo’s professional services to enable rapid infrastructure deployment.

There will also be business development funds to further invest in company growth along with Lenovo education vouchers that may be used for certifications to improve technical skills.

Lenovo enterprise business group director A/NZ, Anthony Smith, said managed services spending was expected to triple globally in the next few years.

"With the recent integration of the System x server, network and storage portfolio, Lenovo is well positioned to offer beneficial programs to new and existing providers,” he said

“This new program will provide approved service providers with a simple, efficient and profitable means to deliver ‘as-a-service’ to their customers.

"In Australia and New Zealand, demand for Cloud-based services has grown exponentially and we want our partners to be well-equipped to take advantage of new opportunities and we are here to help them do that.”
