UXC signs three-year, $12M contract with Ixom

ASX-listed IT services company, UXC Limited (ASX:UXC), has signed a three-year, $12 million annuity Cloud-based contract with water treatment and chemical distribution company, Ixom. The company, which was formerly a part of Orica, is a new customer for UXC.

Additionally, UXC will undertake the task of assisting Ixom to transition and migrate from the current Orica hosted IT environment and provide it with application managed services and an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform to support the business.

As part of the agreement, UXC will deliver the managed service desk, security, server management and desktop support as well as moving Ixom’s current SAP platform to a Microsoft Azure Cloud-based platform, and will provide application support.

This announcement comes days after the company announced its $25 million contract with Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy. Just like the former, a summary of this contract award was referred to in UXC’s market announcement on July 28.

UXC managing director, Cris Nicolli, said the contract would deliver for Ixom a reliable Cloud-based solution for mail, collaboration and business productivity that leverages best practice and can be used anywhere, anytime, on any device.

“This project will deliver many new IT capabilities that Ixom has not had before including access to the latest IT tools and applications, which lets them run their business through the Cloud. This will allow greater access to data anywhere, at any time as well as increasing enterprise mobility.

“A real success for Ixom will be a transition away from Orica’s support, with zero impact on their business and improved IT capabilities for their users in the future,” he said.

This Ixom win adds to the growing list of annuity based services contracts UXC recently won.

“It provides future revenue predictability and a strong opportunity within each customer to build ongoing project revenue streams,” Nicolli added.
