Gold Coast-based solutions company, LCIT, has merged with Web design and mobile app development business, iOnline, to take advantage of state and national business opportunities.
The company founders said, in a statement, that they saw the benefits of combining their business expertise together in a merger following their previous partnership on numerous other projects.
LCIT founder, Jason Deacon, will take on the role of managing director while iOnline founder, Joshua Smith, will head the business development team.
All IT services will operate under LCIT, while Web and software development projects will continue to operate under the iOnline brand name. An enhanced suite of products on behalf of iOnline is also to be included in the merger.
The merger will create a combined team of 14 specialists and include a relocation of iOnline to its Nerang headquarters.
Smith said the increasing need for a full IT service from his Web development clients meant he either had to pass on the work or refer them elsewhere.
“Ultimately we now have the capacity to compete in a broader state and national market through the larger business,” he said.
Deacon claimed the partnership is a step forward for both companies as he can combine resources with Smith, but play to their strengths.
“Our service offering will cover all things IT and Web, however will also allow us to concentrate on new areas including the development of customised online database solutions,” Deacon added.
