Energy management and automation company, Schneider Electric, has partnered with manufacturer of intelligent electronic access, control, and security solutions company, Integrated Control Technology (ICT).

As per the deal, the collaboration will build on strengthening Schneider Electric’s existing building management portfolio to develop a fully integrated security management offer that will support its energy management and building management systems.

Schneider Electric Australia buildings business vice-president, Jay Rocavert, said the partnership will enable Schneider Electric to deliver a seamless and holistic security solution capable of providing energy and building customers with utility savings and workforce efficiency.

Rocavert also indicated the strategic move will enable the company to grow its position as a security leader in the Australian market, as the two organisations will work together to expand Schneider Electric’s security solutions offering.

“We are always looking for new ways to provide our customers with technology and solutions that will support them in addressing their efficiency challenges. This alliance enables us to team up with a great partner to offer our customers innovative security solutions ensuring business continuity for our customers,” he said.

According to Rocavert, the partnership comes at a time when there is a growing need for integrated security, energy and building management solutions that is being driven by the need for smarter and safer facilities.

“Together, Schneider Electric and ICT can now provide security solutions and expertise as part of one integrated energy management and building management system. This will help to streamline our technology offer and improve efficiencies for our customers’ overall business in the near future,” he added.

Integrated Control Technology CEO, Hayden Burr, mentioned coupling ICT’s core enterprise access control and intrusion offering with Schneider Electric is a strategic choice for ICT.

“Customers get a truly unified solution, and the integrated and advanced solutions we have built ICT on, are strengthened. It is an exciting partnership for everyone.” said Hayden Burr, Chief Executive of Integrated Control Technology,” he said.

Rocavert added that the move is a major milestone for Schneider Electric and ICT and as part of the collaboration will see the introduction of new range of security technology offer to the market in early 2016.
