Distribution Central rounded off a stellar year in New Zealand with one simple message for the channel; strap yourself in and get ready for the ride.

Fresh from reporting 28 per cent year on year growth, CEO Nick Verykios praised Kiwi partners for delivering a “tremendous year” in 2015, at the distributor’s End of Year Partner Event in Auckland.

“Our resellers have really delivered in a difficult year,” said Verykios, in addressing a packed room full of Kiwi partners and vendors.

“We’ve picked it right in New Zealand. We’ve picked it right with our vendors, we’ve picked it right with our partners and we’ve picked it right with our staff.”

Looking ahead to 2016, Verykios says Distribution Central will continue to grow and invest in the New Zealand market, a market which sits high on the priority list for the globetrotting CEO, as he explores business opportunities in America, Asia and Europe.

“I’ve been on the road non-stop for the past two months and I’m exhausted,” Verykios admits. “But the reason why I’m exhausted is because there’s massive opportunities to be had for us all.

“There is no such thing as a down market, ever, so stick to your processes, keep the faith and continue delivering. We’ve having a tremendous year which means you should be as well.”

Going forward, and in reaffirming the distributor’s commitment to the local market, Verykios says Distribution Central - led by Stewart Williams in New Zealand - will continue to put more people on the ground this side of the Tasman, with a focus around engineering and technical services, including new vendors and opportunities for growth.

During the past twelve months alone, Distribution Central has brought on board Pure Storage, MobileIron and Unify, while also tightening ties with Palo Alto Networks in the New Zealand market.

“Our Kiwi partners have given us a lot and now is the time to give it back,” he adds. “Every cent that we make stays in New Zealand and goes back into reinvesting in the channel.

“We’re on a strong growth curve and I thank our partners for that.”
