Software company BMC has announced Chris Gibbs as the managing director of BMC A/NZ.
Gibbs will report to APAC president Gavin Selkirk, and he will be responsible for "building a strong competitive presence for BMC through the A/NZ region".
“Chris has more than 25 years’ experience in IT sales and sales management, which makes him the ideal person to lead one of BMC’s most important markets in the Asia Pacific region. As we continue on our high growth trajectory in ANZ, where many of our customers are transforming into digital businesses, building a strong competitive position for BMC with our new digital enterprise strategy will require strong leadership and an unwavering strategic focus," Selkirk said.
Gibbs comes from the Endace Division of Avago Technologies, where he was vice president of sales across APJ. Prior to that, he was at CA Technologies, but has also held roles at Concord Communications, IBM, Rational Software and Telstra.
"I'm pleased to be joining BMC at what is an exciting time in the company’s history following its move to private ownership," Gibbs said.
