NEXTDC makes co-location agreement with PCCW Global
Co-location services company, NEXTDC, has inked a co-location agreement with PCCW Global, the international operating division of Hong Kong-based HKT. As per the agreement, PCCW Global will join NEXTDC’s independent community of carriers and service providers.
PCCW Global’s MPLS capability delivers multiple services via a single connection, including IPX (IP eXchange).
This next-generation network and voice platform built over MPLS aims to provide end-to-end delivery of high-quality voice and mobile data services via a single port.
NEXTDC CEO, Craig Scroggie, said the agreement demonstrates the fundamental synchronicity between international telecommunications companies and regional connectivity providers like NEXTDC.
“We host a thriving community of IT enterprises and their end-customers, and PCCW Global has the expanding worldwide presence.
“Co-location datacentres are the new forum for international IT business, because we provide secure, flexible connectivity between enterprises plus the opportunity to leverage the incredible reach of companies such as PCCW Global,” he said.
A spokesperson for NEXTDC told ARN the company is unable to release any further info on the deal with PCCW at this point.
