ARN profiles high potential leaders

ARN is seeking the high potential leaders (HI-POs) in the Australian IT industry. The first step is to survey our community to profile these future leaders.

Survey results will be presented at the Emerging Leaders Forum which ARN will be holding in May. These results will help identify, educate, encourage and showcase the emerging leaders in the Australian ICT industry.

So who is an emerging leader? By our definition, an emerging leader demonstrates the potential to assume a mid-to-high level leadership role.

They can work in a vendor, distributor, partner or start-up. In vendor organisations or larger distributors they are strong performers who have the potential, ability and aspiration for higher-level management roles. In smaller distributors, some partner organisations and start-ups they are often entrepreneurs who are highly innovative or technology leaders but who may lack management and business experience.

Companies need to recognise and retain such high-performing talent and commit resources to develop them. Healthy companies must invest in future leaders to build a pipeline for continue success.

The survey will target both emerging leaders and talent champions who are mentoring or championing the industry's future leaders.
