Flash storage solution provider, Nimble Storage, has introduced Predictive All Flash Arrays to the market.

The company said the solution delivers performance up to 350,000 IOPS at sub-millisecond latency and scales effective capacity to over 2PB in just 12U. Nimble Storage also claims the AF-Series All Flash arrays offer a total cost of ownership that is up to 33 to 66 per cent lower than competitive arrays.

The solution is pre-configured and optimised to support enterprise applications and workloads out of the box and the company said with InfoSight VMVision and VMware vVols, IT administrators can manage and monitor the storage at VM-level granularity.

Cyber-security company, Nuix, has launched a new range of security and intelligence products.

The Insight Adaptive Security is a continuous-protection platform designed for endpoint threat prevention, detection, response and remediation.

The Insight Analytics and Intelligence solution is a four-dimensional security intelligence platform that aims for breach investigations, deep-dive forensics and analysis.

Nuix chief executive of North America and global head of security and intelligence, Jim Kent, said, “To extend the array of possibilities of the patented Nuix engine to provide for these capabilities, we’ve recruited a team of security and intelligence experts with decades of experience in areas such as incident response, malware reverse engineering, threat intelligence, data analysis, insider threats and digital forensics.”

Dell extends its data protection portfolio

Dell has brought a series of new data protection solutions to the market designed to help organisations protect business-critical systems, applications and data either on premises or in the Cloud.

The Dell Data Protection Rapid Recovery integrates the familiar features of AppAssure and Rapid Snap for Applications technology takes snapshots of physical or virtual environments up to every five minutes.

New releases to Dell DR series of deduplication appliances include the DR4300e, DR4300 and DR6300. The vendor said the new appliances offer increased capacity and performance that allows customers to backup more data and store less.

Another new solution is the Dell NetVault Backup, a cross-platform solution backup and recovery solution designed for enterprise that Dell claims offers a broad spectrum of OS, application and backup target support.

Dell vice president of systems and information management, Brett Roscoe, said, “These significant enhancements to the Dell Data Protection portfolio help organisations utilise the opportunities of Cloud and build a future-ready infrastructure by ensuring they have instant access to systems, applications and data that run their businesses.”

WatchGuard Technologies releases Firebox M4600 and M5600 Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances

Cyber-security company, WatchGuard, has released the FireBox M4600 and M5600 appliances, which firewalls offer flexible port modularity and redundant power supplies.

The company said the solutions are designed for organisations with larger, dispersed environments that require speed and flexibility, like distributed enterprises.

Each appliance has two available slots for expansion modules, and options for 4x10Gb fiber, 8x1Gb copper, or 8x1Gb fiber.

WatchGuard said the appliances are typically deployed at corporate headquarters and serve as the 'hub' appliance, designed to be responsible for managing and securing all communications between the head office and all remote employee and small business sites.

"Organisations need high performance UTM security solutions with fast speeds to quickly scale and operate across their network," said WatchGuard director of product management, Brendan Patterson.

"They shouldn't have to sacrifice performance for security anywhere in their network. Our Fireboxes consolidate critical network and security functions into a single, centrally managed UTM platform that is easy to set up, deploy and manage," he added.
